A love of life, a passion for learning and the skills to make a difference.

An inner-city hidden gem, Aranmore Catholic Primary School is a co-educational facility that caters for children from Pre-Kindergarten (three years old) to Year Six. Nestled among the gum trees in the heart of Leederville, our school has excellent facilities and well-resourced learning environments to enrich every child’s school experience. Our students join us from a range of suburbs, both near and far, and they reflect the diversity of Perth today. We value the individuality of all our students – their cultures, backgrounds, gifts, abilities and talents.

It was a wet winters day but that did not stop these athletes from representing our school at the Interschool Cross Country Carnival. The students gave it their best and it looks like a few of them may have enjoyed being able to get a bit muddy more than others!

Congratulations to each and every one of our students for sharing their talents while showing determination and resilience in the chilly conditions.

A very special shout out to Sydney who came first in her division! What a star!

We are again pleased to welcome nine international students to our school for an immersion and learning program. The children join us from China and will be part of Year Four to Year Six for the next few weeks. We look forward to helping them experience school life in Australia and are hoping to learn a little bit about their culture as well.

NAIDOC Week (National Aboriginal and Islanders Day Observance Committee) occurs annually in July, and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Last week, our students from Kindy to Year Six joined in with activities led by a wonderful group from Aranmore Catholic College @aranmorecc . We were so fortunate to have them share a little bit about their culture, bring in some artefacts for us to touch and use, show us their brilliant artistic skills and help us have some fun with face painting.

It was delightful to see our children thoroughly enjoying the peaceful and calm energy – it’s impossible to put into words. The modelling, quiet conversations and guidance from the College students was an invaluable experience for our students.
