The classes have been busy in the school garden getting the soil ready and planting some seeds. Year Three Red & Green planted three garden beds with seed potatoes. They are eager to see their potatoes grow so they can cook something delicious. They also picked some fresh oranges and made fresh Orange Slushies in class. YUMMY!

Mrs Eleni Evangel MLA presented a certificate to Aranmore Catholic Primary School’s Year 6 student Owen Buttigieg, this year’s entrant in the ANZAC Day Essay Competition.

Congratulation to our successful Interschool Swimming Squad in winning the Boys Aggregate Shield and sharing the win with St Columba’s Bayswater at last week’s “B” Division CPSSA Interschool Swimming Carnival.

Aranmore Catholic Primary is delighted to be supporting, and performing, at the upcoming Mt Hawthorn Streets and Laneways Festival on Sunday 1 May.

Well done to all our children who competed in our Faction Swimming Carnival. The fantastic conditions accompanied by some tight races made it a spectacular day. Creativity, problem-solving and collaboration are all part of the Extension Program at Aranmore Catholic Primary School. These skills were put into action when the Year Six Extension Group built their Go-Karts out of recycled materials.

Building a sense of community is something Aranmore Catholic Primary School is actively committed to supporting. The buddy system is a practical way this is brought to life in both classrooms and play.

The Extension groups were treated to a fun afternoon of creativity, drama, problem-solving and teamwork by Libby Klysz from Black Swan Theatre.
