Welcome Note

Aranmore Catholic Primary School is a welcoming and supportive community where students, staff and families share the values of mercy, excellence, respect and care. Our school aspires to create a culture in which each child grows spiritually, emotionally, academically, socially and physically. Through this, we believe they will recognise and value their own worth as well as the dignity and rights of others.

Our school derives its strength from trust in God and trust in one another. Relationships built on mutual respect, support and trust exist between school community members and we commit ourselves to our school actively and generously. Families are encouraged to participate in the life of the school through the School Advisory Council, Aranmore Parents’ Association and involvement in class activities, school events and initiatives.

We endeavour to provide a high-quality educational program that captures the interests of students, encourages exploration, heightens engagement and allows for the safe expression of personality and uniqueness. The school has a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy and provides support and extension opportunities. The class teaching and learning program is complemented by specialist lessons in Dance, Italian, Music, Physical Education and Science. We offer a renowned onsite Instrumental Program and extra-curricular opportunities including Band, Choir, Chess Club, Netball and Swim Squad.

Aranmore Catholic Primary School is founded upon the Mercy traditions and we work in close partnership with St Mary’s Parish. Together, we are committed to nurturing and guiding the students to achieve their potential and trust in their ability to make a positive difference to others and the community.
